500.032 Declaration of policy and cooperation among departments.
(1) The department shall administer and enforce this chapter in order to prevent fraud, harm, adulteration, misbranding, or false advertising in the preparation, manufacture, storage, or sale of articles of food. The department shall further enforce the provisions of this chapter relating to the production, manufacture, transportation, storage, and sale of food, as well as articles entering into, and intended for use as ingredients in the preparation of, food.
(2) The specific delegation of authority granted in subsection (1) is to specifically place responsibility and should not be construed so as to cause respective agencies to not cooperate each with the other by interchange of information and copies of reports when deemed advisable.
