Bell, 496 So.2d 601, 602 (La.App. 1 Cir.), writ denied, 498 So.2d 753 (1986), which involved a plaintiff's claim to be declared "owner of Indian artifacts [he had unearthed] and his request for compensation for his excavation work in uncovering those artifacts under the theory of unjust enrichment." In discussing the application of fault principles to unjust enrichment, the court stated: "Obviously[,] the intent [of unjust enrichment] is to avoid awarding one who has helped another through his own negligence or fault or through action taken at his own risk." Charrier , at 607.
