Defendant's contention that the court's limitations on the witness's testimony deprived him of his constitutional right to present a defense is unpreserved for our review ( see People v Lane , 7 NY3d 888 , 889 [2006]; see also People v McCullough , 141 AD3d 1125, 1126 [4th Dept 2016], lv denied 28 NY3d 972 [2016]), and we decline to exercise our power to address that contention as a matter of discretion in the interest of justice ( see CPL 470.15 [6] [a]).
