Call Now: 904-383-7448Any property owner or his or her agent shall have the right to petition the department to remove any bear which shall constitute a clear and immediate threat to his or her property.The property owner shall petition the department for such removal on a form containing such information as may be necessary for the proper evaluation and consideration of the application. Removal shall occur only in cases where the department has determined that the removal of the bear is justified.Representatives of the department are authorized to investigate claims of damage and the necessity of removal of the bear prior to taking action on the petition.
