- Borrower may institute actions against third person interfering with borrower's right of possession but these actions are for the benefit of the bailor. United States v. One 1946 Mercury Sedan Auto., 100 F. Supp. 957 (N.D. Ga. 1951), aff'd sub nom. United States v. Frank Graham Co., 199 F.2d 499 (5th Cir. 1952).
- A mere gratuitous bailee cannot recover against a third person for the conversion of bailed property where the bailor or owner has intervened and asserted rights thereto. United States v. One 1946 Mercury Sedan Auto., 100 F. Supp. 957 (N.D. Ga. 1951); United States v. Frank Graham Co., 199 F.2d 499 (5th Cir. 1952).
