Rule 24.2. Aid of Counsel

Rule 24.2. Aid of Counsel. A defendant shall not be required to plead until he has had an opportunity to retain counsel, or, if he is eligible for the appointment of counsel, until counsel has been appointed, or, in either case, unless he has waived or refused the assistance of counsel.
