Sec. 31a-11. Motion for New Trial
Sec. 31a-11. Motion for New Trial (a) Upon motion of the child or youth, the judicial authority may grant a new trial if it is required in the interest of justice in accordance with Section 42-53 of the rules of criminal procedure. (b) Unless otherwise permitted by the judicial authority in the interests of justice, a motion for a new trial shall be made within five days after an adjudication or within any further time the judicial authority allows during the five day period. The judicial authority may grant the petition even though an appeal is pending.
