Sec. 35a-6. Postdisposition Role of Former Guardian When a court of competent jurisdiction has ordered legal guardianship of a child or youth to a person other than the biological parents of the child or youth prior to the juvenile court proceeding, the juvenile court shall determine at the time of the commitment of the child or youth to the Commissioner of the Department of Children and Families whether good cause exists to allow said legal guardian to participate in future proceedings as a party and what, if any further actions the Commissioner of the Department of Children and Families and the guardian are required to take.
