985.125 Postarrest diversion programs.
(1) A law enforcement agency, in cooperation with the state attorney, may establish a postarrest diversion program.
(2) As part of the postarrest diversion program, a child who is alleged to have committed a delinquent act may be required to surrender his or her driver license, or refrain from applying for a driver license, for not more than 90 days. If the child fails to comply with the requirements of the program, the state attorney may notify the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles in writing to suspend the child’s driver license for a period that may not exceed 90 days.
