Rule 6.305 State as amicus curiae. When the constitutionality of an act of the general assembly is drawn into question in a certification proceeding to which the State of Iowa or an officer, agency, or employee thereof is not a party, the attorney general will be permitted to file an amicus
curiae brief on behalf of the State, as provided in rule 6.906, regarding the constitutionality of the act. [Court Order October 31, 2008, effective January 1, 2009; September 29, 2023, effective April 1, 2024]
