Md. Rule 16-406. Notice to the Appellate Court or Supreme Court
Upon the filing of (1) a notice of appeal or application for leave to appeal to the Appellate Court, (2) a timely motion pursuant to Rule 2-532, 2-533, or 2-534 if filed after the filing of a notice of appeal, (3) an order striking a notice of appeal pursuant to Rule 8-203, or (4) a notice of appeal, where permitted by law, to the Supreme Court, the clerk of the circuit court immediately shall send via the MDEC system a copy of the paper filed to the Clerk of the Appellate Court or the Clerk of the Supreme Court, as appropriate. In the Appellate Court, if a notice of appeal is accompanied by a Civil Appeal Information Report required by Rule 8-205, the Information Report shall be transmitted with the notice of appeal.
