Section 122A. The licensing authority, under section one hundred and twenty-two, shall record all issued licenses in books, forms or electronic files kept for that purpose, and upon the granting of any such license or renewal thereof or renewal of an expired license shall send notice thereof to the department of criminal justice information services in a manner prescribed by the commissioner of the department of criminal justice information services; provided, however, that said executive director shall promulgate rules and regulations to ensure the prompt collection, exchange, dissemination, and distribution of such license information. The commissioner of the department of criminal justice information services, upon the application of the licensee, at a price not in excess of the cost thereof, shall furnish said licensee with the necessary sales record books to be kept by him as provided in section one hundred and twenty-three.
