RULE 1. SCOPE AND PURPOSE

Effective Date: 3/1/2026

These rules govern the procedure in all actions conducted under the Juvenile Court Act, N.D.C.C. chs. 27-20.1, 27-20.2, 27-20.3, and 27-20.4, and under N.D.C.C. ch. 27-20.6 on re-establishment of parental rights and responsibilities. They must be construed and administered to protect the best interests of children and to address the unique characteristics and needs of children.
