433.350 Power of Oregon Health Authority to take possession and order destruction of animal. When confinement and observation of an animal for purposes of determining infection with rabies will not avoid the necessity of the application of painful or possibly dangerous preventative treatment to a person who has been bitten or scratched by such animal, the Director of the Oregon Health Authority may order possession of the animal to be immediately relinquished to the director or to the authorized representative of the director and may order the animal destroyed for examination of its bodily tissues.
