“(a)In General.—The United States Trade Representative, in consultation with the appropriate agencies, including U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, the Forest Service, and the Department of State, shall report to the Committee on Finance of the Senate and the Committee on Ways and Means of the House of Representatives on—“(1) steps the United States and Peru have taken to carry out Annex 18.3.4 of the Agreement; and“(2) activities related to forest sector governance carried out under the Environmental Cooperation Agreement entered into between the United States and Peru on July 24, 2006.“(b)Timing of Report.—The United States Trade Representative shall report to the Committee on Finance of the Senate and the Committee on Ways and Means of the House of Representatives under subsection (a)—“(1) not later than 1 year after the date on which the Agreement enters into force [Feb. 1, 2009];“(2) not later than 2 years after the date on which the Agreement enters into force; and“(3) periodically thereafter.
