[Merchant Marine Act, 1936.]
(a) Subsection (a) of section 505 of the Merchant Marine Act, 1936, as amended, is further amended by adding at the end thereof the following new sentence: ‘For the purposes of this subsection, the term “continental limits of the United States” includes the States of Alaska and Hawaii.’“(b) Section 606 of such Act, as amended, is further amended by adding at the end thereof the following new sentence: ‘For the purposes of this section, the term “continental limits of the United States” includes the States of Alaska and Hawaii.’“(c) Section 702 of such Act, as amended, is further amended by adding at the end thereof the following new sentence: ‘For the purposes of this section, the term “continental United States” includes the States of Alaska and Hawaii.’
