BOMBS, EXPLOSIVES, AND CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS
16-7-96. Admissible evidence.

Photographs, videotapes, or other identification or analysis of a destructive device, explosive, poison gas, or detonator duly identified by an explosive ordnance disposal technician or a person qualified as a forensic expert in the area of destructive devices shall be admissible in any civil or criminal trial in lieu of the destructive device or detonator.

If a destructive device, explosive, poison gas, or detonator which has been rendered safe is introduced into evidence in any criminal or civil action, it shall be the duty of the clerk of court immediately to photograph the same and to transfer custody of the destructive device or detonator to the director or his or her designee or an explosive ordnance disposal technician.
