Section 17. Control of Venereal Disease, 31-17-1 through 31-17-8.

ARTICLE 7 EMERGENCY CARDIAC CARE CENTERS

31-17-1. Enumeration of diseases deemed dangerous to public health.

Syphilis, gonorrhea, and chancroid, hereinafter referred to as venereal diseases, are declared to be contagious, infectious, communicable, and dangerous to the public health.

Genital herpes.

- Genital herpes is a contagious venereal disease even though it is not included in O.C.G.A. § 31-17-1. Long v. Adams, 175 Ga. App. 538, 333 S.E.2d 852 (1985).
