Rule 20.2. Setting of Omnibus Hearing

Rule 20.2. Setting of Omnibus Hearing. (a) If a plea of guilty is not entered at the time the defendant is first called upon to plead by a court having jurisdiction to try the defendant, the court may set a time for an omnibus hearing. (b) In determining the date for the omnibus hearing the court shall allow counsel sufficient time: (i) to initiate and complete discovery required or authorized under these rules; (ii) to conduct further investigation necessary to the defendant's case; and (iii) to continue plea discussions.
