Your token is the key to the MCP: claude.ai custom connectors and ChatGPT developer mode take it in the URL; Claude Code and the rest take it as a bearer header. It is also in your welcome email. Install instructions.
No token yet. One token per address, shown once and mailed to you with setup steps — claude.ai custom connectors and ChatGPT developer mode need it in the URL; Claude Code and the rest take it as a bearer header. Install instructions.
Your MCP token. Anyone holding it can search on your subscription, so keep it off shared screens.

That address already had a token, so we did not issue a second one — two live credentials for one mailbox is how people end up with a working laptop and a broken office machine. Your connector URL is in your inbox under “Your Syfert legal research connector URL”; if it is gone, call 904-383-7448.

This website is free. That is the most important thing about it.
Everything here is offered as it is, without warranty, without promises, and without any particular regard for accuracy. I built a machine that reads millions of court opinions, and machines make mistakes, and so do I. A citation can be wrong. A treatment flag can be wrong. A quotation can belong to a different case than the one standing next to it. Verify anything you intend to rely on against the official source — the reporter, the court's own site, the official code. If you do not check it, that was your decision, not mine.
I am a lawyer. I am not your lawyer. Nothing here is legal advice, and using this site does not make me your lawyer, however much it may have helped. No attorney-client relationship forms by searching, by subscribing, or by connecting an AI to this server. If you need advice, hire someone. Ideally hire someone after you have confirmed that they, and the cases they cite, actually exist.
Nothing here is promised to be up. This is one person's server. It goes down, it gets slow, it gets rebuilt on weekends, and corpora get replaced underneath you. There is no service level, no uptime commitment, and no notice period. Do not put it on the critical path of a filing deadline without a backup plan.
Read, search, cite, quote, and put the answers in your brief — that is what this is for. What is not welcome:
I block scrapers and abusive traffic without warning, and I do not always distinguish carefully between a hostile crawler and an enthusiastic script. If you got caught and you are a person, email me and I will let you back in.
Your MCP access URL and bearer token are personal. Treat the token like a password: anyone holding it can research on your access. Do not publish it, commit it to a repository, or hand it around the firm — ask me and everyone gets their own. If it leaks, tell me and I will issue you a fresh one and retire the old one. Tokens are free for now, and revocable at any time, for any reason or none, including because the traffic on one is hurting the server. If real pricing ever arrives you will hear it from me first; there is no card on file to charge quietly.
Searches you run on the website travel in the URL, so they appear in ordinary web-server logs, which are deleted after fourteen days. Research you run through the MCP is not logged at all — not the query, not the citation you checked, not the case you read; the only record is which tool ran, whether it worked, and how long it took.
Briefs are different again. Paste one into the citation checker, here on the website or through the version wired into your AI, and it gets read, checked, and thrown away the moment the check finishes. I do not log it. I do not store it. I reserve the right to hold a copy for up to thirty days if the site breaks and I need to see what broke it, but that is an emergency power, not a filing cabinet I am quietly building. Someone else's unfiled work sitting around for a month is exactly the kind of thing that gets subpoenaed, breached, or sold, and I would rather not be the reason it happened.
The full account is on the privacy page. This is a website kept by one person, not a bank vault, so do not paste anything you could not bear to lose regardless, and do not put client confidences into a search box — here or anywhere.
If the site is wrong, or slow, or down, or if it costs you a case, a client, or a good night's sleep, I am sorry, and I owe you nothing, because it was free. That was the arrangement from the first line.
These terms change when the site changes; the effective date above moves with them, and continuing to use the site is how you accept the current version. Florida law governs all of this, for whatever that turns out to be worth, and anything that somehow ends up in court ends up in Duval County, Florida.
If you have a problem, you could just call me: 904-383-7448, or [email protected].
Syfert Legal Research Pro is $30.00 a month or $300.00 a year, billed in advance through Stripe and renewing automatically until you cancel. Prices are exclusive of sales tax, which is added where a jurisdiction requires it. Cancel any time from the billing portal linked on your billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and access continues until then. Because the service is delivered immediately and in full, paid periods are not refunded pro rata, but if something is wrong, call 904-383-7448 and it will be made right. If a renewal payment fails, Pro access continues through a short grace period while Stripe retries; if it is not resolved the account returns to the free tier and keeps working there. No card number is stored on this server: Stripe holds the payment details, and this server holds only your email address, a plan record, and the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. Prices may change on thirty days' notice to the address on the account, and a change never applies to a period already paid for.
