2024Because DiBartelo sought to vacate the default judgment under section 2-1401 only after demonstrating “indifference to or disregard of the circuit court’s process” and because he failed to provide a “reasonable excuse” for his lack of diligence as required for a successful section 2-1401 motion (Airoom, 114 Ill. 2d at 222, 225 ), the circuit court correctly denied his motion. ¶ 42 DiBartelo nevertheless argues that justice and good conscience require this Court to excuse his failure to exercise due diligence.
