Sec. 40-31. Information Not Subject to Dis- closure by Defendant Subject to Section 40-13 and except as to scien- tific or medical reports, Sections 40-17 through 40-31 do not authorize or require disclosure or inspection of: (1) Reports, memoranda or other internal defense documents made by the defendant, or counsel for the defendant or any person employed by the defendant in connection with the investiga- tion or defense of the case; (2) Legal research; or (3) Records, correspondence, reports or mem- oranda to the extent that they contain the opinions, theories or conclusions of the defendant, counsel for the defendant, or any other person employed by the defendant in connection with the investiga- tion or defense of the case.
