1-2-7. Rights of female citizens generally.

Female citizens are entitled to the privilege of the elective franchise and have the right to hold any civil office or perform any civil function as fully and completely as do male citizens.

JUDICIAL DECISIONS

All qualified, nonexempt women have right to jury duty.

- It is the law's intent that all women who are qualified for jury duty, and who are not exempt from jury duty under law, shall have the right to and the responsibility of jury duty in accordance with the provisions of Georgia law. Mann v. Cox, 487 F. Supp. 147 (S.D. Ga. 1979).
