Call Now: 904-383-7448Any private facility within this state may be approved as an emergency receiving facility, an evaluating facility, or a treatment facility by the department at the request of or with the consent of the governing officers of such private facility. When so approved, the private facility shall have all powers given to the corresponding type of state owned or state operated facility under the provisions of this chapter on voluntary admission, emergency admission, admission for evaluation, and involuntary hospitalization and shall have all duties and obligations of such facilities imposed by this chapter, except that any such private facility may decline to accept any patient who is unable to pay it for hospitalization or for whom it has no available space.
