END-USE MONITORING OF CERTAIN SATELLITES AND RELATED ITEMS.
“(a)In General.—In order to ensure accountability with respect to the export of satellites and related items that become subject to the Export Administration Regulations (15 CFR part 730 et seq.) as a result of the enactment of section 1261(a), the President shall provide for the end-use monitoring of such satellites and related items.“(b)Report.—Not later than 120 days after the date of the enactment of this Act [Jan. 2, 2013], the Secretary of Commerce, in consultation with the heads of other Federal departments and agencies as appropriate, shall submit to Congress a report describing the actions taken to implement this section, including identification of resource shortfalls or other constraints on effective end-use monitoring of satellites and related items described in subsection (a).
