Definitions
As used in this subchapter:
- “Administrative account” means the Construction Assistance Administrative Account established by this subchapter within the Construction Assistance Revolving Loan Fund;
- “Authority” means the Arkansas Development Finance Authority or any successor agency or commission of the state;
- “Clean Water Act” means the Federal Water Pollution Control Act of 1972, as amended by the federal Water Quality Act of 1987;
- “Commission” means the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission or a successor agency or commission of the state;

- “Federal environmental acts” means the Clean Water Act, the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, the Clean Air Act, and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act;
- “Fund” means the Construction Assistance Revolving Loan Fund established by this subchapter;
- “Owner” means the owner or prospective owner of an environmental project, excluding any federal agencies;
- “Revolving loan account” means the Construction Assistance Revolving Loan Fund Account established by this subchapter within the fund;
- “State” means the State of Arkansas; and
- “State Grants Account” means the State Grants Account established by this subchapter within the fund.

Amendments. The 2009 amendment substituted “Arkansas Natural Resources Commission” for “Arkansas Soil and Water Conservation Commission” in (4), and made minor stylistic changes.
The 2019 amendment repealed (5).

The Clean Water Act, the federal Safe Drinking Water Act, the federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, the federal Clean Air Act, and the federal Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act are codified as 33 U.S.C. § 1251 et seq., 42 U.S.C. § 201, 42 U.S.C. § 300f et seq., 42 U.S.C. § 6901 et seq., 42 U.S.C. § 7401 et seq., and 42 U.S.C. § 9601 et seq. respectively.
