State v. Edwards, 419 So.2d 881 (La.1982); State v. Coleman, 406 So.2d 563, 566 (La.1981) (citing Hoffman v. United States, 341 U.S. 479, 487 , 71 S.Ct. 814, 818 , 95 L.Ed. 1118, 1124 (1951)).
