Sec. 10-23. —Joinder of Torts Where several torts are committed simultane- ously against the plaintiff, as a battery accompa- nied by slanderous words, they may be joined, within the meaning of subdivision (7) of Section 10-21, as causes of action arising out of the same transaction, although they may belong to different classes of torts.
