Sec. 14-23. Motions To Continue or Post- pone Case Assigned for Trial Whenever a motion for a postponement or con- tinuance of a case assigned for trial is made by either party and such motion is granted, the court may require the party making the same to pay to the adverse party such sum by way of indemnity as it deems reasonable. (See General Statutes § 52-196.) (P.B. 1978-1997, Sec. 279.)
