Sec. 17-41. Relief Permissible on Default Upon a default, the plaintiff can have no greater relief than that demanded in the complaint; but in any other case the judicial authority may, upon a proper amendment, grant the plaintiff any other relief consistent with the case made on the trial and embraced within the issues.
