Sec. 36-5. —Execution and Return of Warrant The officer executing an arrest warrant may do so anywhere within the state upon apprehension of the accused. The officer shall take the accused into custody, serve a copy of the warrant upon him or her and follow the procedure specified in Section 38-1 or 38-2, whichever is applicable.
