Conn. Practice Book § 44-2 (2026)

Sec. 44-2. —Appointment in Other Instances In any other situation in which a defendant is unable to obtain counsel by reason of indigency, and is constitutionally or statutorily entitled to the assistance of counsel, such defendant may request the judicial authority to appoint a public defender in accordance with Section 44-1.
