Rule 50. Calendars; plans for prompt disposition. (a) Calendars. The court may provide for placing criminal proceedings upon appropriate calendars. Preference shall be given to criminal proceedings as far as practicable. (b) Plans for achieving prompt disposition of criminal cases. To minimize undue delay and to further the prompt disposition of criminal cases, the court shall conduct a continuing study of the administration of criminal justice and shall prepare plans for the prompt disposition of criminal cases.
