253.783 Expenditures for acquisition of land for a canal connecting the waters of the Atlantic Ocean with the Gulf of America via the St. Johns River prohibited.The department shall make no expenditures for the purpose of acquiring land for constructing, operating, or promoting a canal across the peninsula of Florida connecting the waters of the Atlantic Ocean with the waters of the Gulf of America via the St. Johns River.
