F.S. 298.19298.19 Appointment and duties of superintendent of plant and operations and overseers.—For the purpose of preserving any ditch, drain, dike, levee or other work constructed or erected under the provisions of this chapter and for the taking care and the operation of the equipment owned by said district and the maintenance of the canals and other works of said district, including the removal of obstructions from the same, and such other duties as may be prescribed by said board, the board of supervisors may employ a superintendent of plant and operations who shall have charge and supervision of the works of the district after the construction of the same, and said board also may employ or appoint an overseer or overseers who shall hold their positions at the will of the board, and who shall assist said superintendent in the performance of the work aforesaid.History.—s. 40, ch. 6458, 1913; RGS 1137; s. 1, ch. 9129, 1923; CGL 1492.
