Call Now: 904-383-7448The commission shall appoint, by and with the advice and consent of the Governor, a director, who shall be the executive secretary and administrative officer of the commission. When seeking candidates for the position of director, emphasis shall be placed on identifying individuals who hold a Bachelor of Science degree in forestry or who have significant experience in forest management. The director shall receive a salary fixed by the commission plus actual expenses as provided for other state officials and employees and shall hold office at the pleasure of the commission. The present director shall continue to serve until removed by the commission.
