This article shall apply to all public school systems in this state, including those maintained and operated by counties and cities and independent local systems.

ARTICLE 15 STUDENT DATA PRIVACY, ACCESSIBILITY, AND TRANSPARENCY Editor’s notes. The former article, relating to school censuses, was repealed by Ga. L. 2012, p. 358, § 29/HB 706, effective July 1, 2012, and was based on Ga. L. 1919, p. 288, §§ 71, 72; Code 1933, §§ 32-1601, 321602; Ga. L. 1945, p. 210, § 1; Ga. L. 1945, p. 441, § 1; Ga. L. 1969, p. 838, § 3. Ga. L. 2015, p. 1031, § 3-1(a)/SB 89, not codified by the General Assembly, provides: “(a) Part I of this Act shall become effective on July 1, 2016; provided, however, that to the extent any provision of this Act conflicts with a term of a contract

entered into by a state agency, local board of education, or operator in effect prior to July 1, 2016, such provision shall not apply to the state agency, local board of education, or the operator subject to such agreement until the expiration, amendment, or renewal of such agreement.” Administrative rules and regulations.
