TITLE 33 INSURANCE

Section 2. Department and Commissioner of Insurance, 33-2-1 through 33-2-34.

33-2-2. Seal of Commissioner.

The Commissioner shall have an official seal of such design as he or she shall select with the approval of the Governor.

The 2011 amendment, effective January 1, 2013, inserted "or she" in the middle of the first sentence and deleted the former second sentence, which read: "Every certificate and other document or paper executed by the Commissioner in the pursuance of any authority conferred upon him by law and sealed with the seal of his office and all copies or photographic copies of papers certified by him and authenticated by said seal shall in all cases be evidence 'in equal and like manner' as the original thereof and shall in all cases be primary evidence of the contents of the original and shall be admissible in any court in this state."
