Section 11. Dentists, Dental Hygienists, and Dental Assistants, 43-11-1 through 43-11-82.

ARTICLE 1 GENERAL PROVISIONS

43-11-4. Meetings.

It shall be the duty of the board to meet annually at the close of the session of a majority of the dental colleges and to hold such other meetings as the duties of the board may require. It shall also be the duty of the board to meet in any called meeting that may be ordered in writing by not less than three members of the board, or by its president, upon not less than 15 days' notice in writing, stating the time, place, and object of such called meeting.

(Ga. L. 1920, p. 132, § 3; Code 1933, § 84-705; Ga. L. 1976, p. 484, § 1.)

OPINIONS OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL

Board meeting without full notice is valid if no rights affected.

- When all members of the board convene in a called meeting after notice, even though notice is not for the period of 15 days, and transact any business coming before the board, and when failure to give 15 days notice does not involve the right of any third person, the meeting is legal and any business transacted in such meeting is in order. 1945-47 Op. Att'y Gen. p. 489.
