Editor's notes.

- Ga. L. 1984, p. 1296, § 4, repealed this Code section. However, § 5 of that Act provided that the repeal would become effective on January 1, 1985, only if a proposed amendment (see Ga. L. 1984, p. 1726) to the Constitution (Ga. Const. 1983, Art. III, Sec. X, Para. VI) authorizing the General Assembly to revise provisions of public retirement or pension systems relating to involuntary separation from employment were ratified at the 1984 general election. Such approval was given at that election.

This Code section was enacted at the same legislative session as the Act which provided for its repeal. See Ga. L. 1984, p. 1309, § 1 for the enacting provisions.
