Rule 57. TERMINATION. A special administration terminates upon order of the court. COMMENTARY: It is often unclear when a special administrator'sappointmentends. Where the special administration is a prelude to the appointment of a personal representative, the appointment of the personal representative automatically terminates the special administrator's appointment, but the orderappointingthepersonal representative should specifically terminate the special administration.
