Rule 95. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF AUTHORITY. (a) Application.ToobtainanAcknowledgment of Authority pursuant to HRS § 560:4-205, a domiciliary foreign personal representative shall file with the Registrar (1) an Application for Issuance of Acknowledgment of Authority signed by the foreign personal representative or its counsel verifying the foreign personal representative's appointment in the

Rule 95 HAWAI#I PROBATE RULES decedent'sdomicile and requestingthe issuance of an Acknowledgment of Authority, and (2) copies of the foreign personal representative's Letters Testamentary or Letters of Administration, or order or other document showing the personal representative’s appointment, along with a copy of any official bond, with copies of official records being certified, in the case of domestic records, or exemplified, in the case of foreign records, in accordance with Rule 15 of the Hawai#i Probate Rules. (b) Acknowledgment. If the Application for Issuance of Acknowledgment of Authority is approved by the Registrar, the Registrar shall issue anAcknowledgmentofAuthority,whichshallexpire three years from the date of issuance, and such limitation shall be stated on the face of the acknowledgment of authority.
