Iowa Code § 8A.509 (2026)

The penal provisions in sections 8A.507 and 8A.508 are subject to any legal defense which the officer may have against the account as stated by the director, but judgment for costs shall be rendered against the officer in the action, whatever its result, unless the officer rendered an account within the time named in those sections. 2003 Acts, ch 145, §91
