CASE ANNOTATIONS

1. Local option budget funding provisions do not violate plaintiff students' equal protection rights. Robinson v. Kansas, 117 F. Supp.2d 1124, 1128 (2000).

2. School District Finance and Quality Performance Act was intended to achieve funding equity, but was not intended to be rigidly inviolate. Bonner Springs U.S.D. No. 204 v. Blue Valley U.S.D. No. 229, 32 Kan. App. 2d 1104, 95 P.3d 655 (2004).

3. Regarding school finance, 2005 H.B. 2247 is not in compliance with Jan. 3, 2005, opinion of court and fails to satisfy constitutional requirement to provide suitable education; court retains jurisdiction of subject. Montoy v. State, 279 Kan. 817, 112 P.3d 923 (2005).
