RCr 12.02. Applicability of the rules of appellate procedure

The Rules of Appellate Procedure shall apply in criminal actions, except that an appeal from a judgment imposing a sentence of death, life imprisonment, or imprisonment for 20 years or more shall be taken directly to the Supreme Court. Compliance with Rule (2)(H) of the Rules of Appellate Procedure is required in all cases.
