The board of trustees of a municipal university in a city of the first class may acquire, by purchase or gift, lands and improvements for the purpose of expanding the plant and extending the usefulness of the university, and when unable to agree with the owner of land and improvements necessary for the purposes of the university may proceed to condemn the land and improvements. The condemnation proceedings shall be conducted in the manner provided in the Eminent Domain Act of Kentucky. History: Amended 1976 Ky. Acts ch. 140, sec. 70. -- Recodified 1942 Ky.
