Syfert, Esq., P.A., Jacksonville, Florida, acting in his personal capacity as a man who bought a gift card and then made a banner, hereinafter “Sponsor,” “I,” or “the desk.” Prize: one (1) Fifty-and-00/100 Dollars ($50.00) Outback Steakhouse gift card, photographed for the banner on syfert.com/mcp/ which photograph is NOT THE ACTUAL CARD, the actual card remaining in the desk until a winner is verified, at which point it will be mailed, maybe in a regular envelope, maybe not, Bloomin’ Onion not included, blooming anything not included, no cash alternative except where required by law and even then I will argue with you, approximate retail value $50.00 because that is what it says on the card. How to win: be the first person whose AI assistant, with the Syfert Legal Research MCP properly enabled AND ACTUALLY USED on the specific turn that hallucinated, fabricates a case, a citation, or a quotation and offers it as if it were real; a transcript showing MCP tool calls on that turn is required; installed-but-not-called, connected-but-asleep, “I added it last week,” and screenshots of the settings page with no tool trace are automatic disqualification, hereinafter a DQ. The model must have been first released to the public in calendar year 2026 or later; fine-tunes, quantizations, GGUFs, LoRAs, QLoRAs, adapters, merges, soups, distillations, student-models, and “we continued pretraining” of a pre-2026 base do not qualify even if you shipped the adapter in 2026, even if you renamed it, even if the Hugging Face card says 2026, the BASE is the BASE. The model must have more than twenty-four billion (24,000,000,000) parameters; mixture-of-experts models are scored on advertised TOTAL parameters not so-called “active” parameters not “routed” parameters not “effective” parameters; if the lab will not say, it does not qualify; if the lab says “around 24B” that is not more than 24B; 24B exactly is not more than 24B; 23.9B is a 7B in my heart. Temperature must be set at or below 0.2 (two tenths), consistent with reasonable professional standards for legal research, and in no event above 0.4; “Creative,” “Max,” “Brainstorm,” “Fun,” temperature 1.0, temperature 1.2, and any slider you cranked because the answer was boring are an automatic DQ; if the product does not expose a temperature control then the vendor’s default non-creative setting is deemed reasonable provided it is not a creative preset in disguise; if you do not know what temperature you used you did not use 0.2. The hallucination must be a fabricated case that does not exist, a fabricated citation that does not resolve to the case you said it did, or a fabricated quotation that does not appear in the opinion, offered to a human as if it were real; typos in real cites, transposed reporters, truncated party names, “I can’t find that,” “this may be hallucinated,” hedging, and asking the MCP whether a fake cite is fake after you already used it in the brief do not count; prompting the model to make something up, roleplay, jailbreaks, DAN, “ignore previous instructions,” “for a novel,” and “hypothetically invent a case” do not count; if you told it to hallucinate you did not catch it hallucinating. You must show Sponsor the model name as the client reported it, the date and time, that the MCP was connected, the tool calls, and the fake cite; text 904-383-7448 or you will not win because I am not scraping your Discord; prize mails to a United States address only, no P.O. boxes in countries that are not the United States, no “hold at Outback.” Limit one winner; one card; one hallucination; first verified, not first tweeted; Sponsor’s determination is final, binding, unappealable, and may be made while eating, including without limitation on whether your model is really 24B, whether 2026 means 2026, whether your screenshot is a bit, whether your temperature was really 0.2, and whether you are trying to be cute. Server outages, MCP overall failure, denial of service, overuse, too many visitors, rate limits, 502s, 503s, 504s, timeouts, Cloudflare, or the box falling over because too many of you showed up at once is not a way to win; if the library is down that is not a hallucination that is an outage. I am the final judge and arbiter of every fact in this contest, including this sentence, but I will admit defeat. Employees of Sponsor (there is one) and members of his household (none of your business) are not eligible. Not affiliated with Outback Steakhouse, Bloomin’ Brands, Inc., Bloomin’ Onion, or any Australian, and no Australian was consulted. Contest is void where prohibited, void in Antarctica, void if you used a 7B, void if you used a 13B and said it was 70B, void if the banner has been taken down because the card has left the desk. If this banner is still up the card is still in the desk. These rules may be amended by Sponsor posting a weirder paragraph.
