Licensed contractor required; exception. (1) Except as provided in subsection (2) of this
section, an owner or operator of a facility containing asbestos shall require
only licensed contractors to perform asbestos abatement projects.
(2) A facility
owner or operator whose own employees maintain, repair, renovate or demolish
the facility may allow the employees to work on asbestos abatement projects
only if the employees comply with the training and certification requirements
established under ORS 468A.730. [Formerly 468.881]
