Utah Code § 73-4-10 (2026)

The court shall have power to allow amendments to any petition, statement of claim, or pleading and to extend, upon due cause shown, the time for filing any other pleading, statement of claim, report, or objection.

If the claimant files a written request for an extension of time to file a statement of claim within the 90-day period to file a statement of claim, the state engineer shall grant one 30-day extension, in writing.
