United States v. Arboleda A. Ortiz, United States of America v. German Sinisterra, United States of America v. Plutarco Tello
See United States v. Comeaux, 955 F.2d 586, 590 (8th Cir.), cert. denied, 506 U.S. 845 , 113 S.Ct. 135 , 121 L.Ed.2d 89 (1992) (holding that the rule of completeness requires severance only when the redacted version prevents a defendant from introducing “substantially exculpatory” statements.) Accordingly, we hold that the District Court did not abuse its discretion in trying Mr. Tello with his co-defendants in a joint trial.
